9 Dongping Road, Love Cottage, was built in 1932, and is listed in the Second Group of Excellent Historical Architecture of Shanghai and the sites of historical interest and cultural relics under the protection of the district government of Xuhui.

This French style garden villa has two floors, fish scale patterns dark red French-style flat tiles on the roof; dry pebbles wall which is popular in 1920s; cement cornerstones on door, window, porch, wall corners. And dormer window shows French style.

This building is the former residence of Mr. Qiang Kaishi and his wife Ms. Song Meilin, and was the dowry for Ms. Song after the marriage of Qiang and Song in 1927. Mr. Qiang Kaishi entitled this house as Ai Lu (Love Cottage), and the one in Lu Mountain as Mei Lu, the in Hangzhou as Cheng Lu. This house is now used by the Affiliated High School of Shanghai Music College.
