The Library in 1195 Fuxing Road M. was built in 1908-1916, and is listed in the Third Group of Excellent Historical Architecture of Shanghai.

This German style school house was designed by Karl Baedecker of Becker & Baedecker Co. The two-storey house has slope roof, a porch at the entry connecting with protruding eave of balcony at the second floor, forming a unique arc curve gable, which shows German architecture style. Correspondingly, there are one style dormer windows in some part of roof. And the dry red brick wall has white paint on the wall between windows, showing geometry pattern.

This building was formerly the Library of German Engineering & Technical School, National Shanghai Senior Technician School, and now is the Library of Sha nghai University of Technology.
