190 Yuqing Road was built in 1936, and is listed in the Third Group of Excellent Historical Architecture of Shanghai.

The modern style garden house consists of three-storey main building and two-storey attached building. The overhead columns at entry of the main building form entrance porch. The architecture facade is basically modern style, no excessive decoration. Nevertheless, the geometry pattern on columns and casting iron fence with flower pattern on the interior stairs reveal the influence of Art Deco style.

Former City Mayor of Shanghai, Chen Yi and Ke Qingshi, once lived here. It is now used by the Kindergarten of Municipal Governmental Organization.
